# Depositing Assets

## Depositing Assets

To use Loopring DeFi products like Dual Investment, Portal, or Block Trade, you first need to deposit supported assets into the platform.

***

### 1. Connect and Sign In

Before depositing, make sure:

* You have connected your wallet
* You have signed in by approving the signature request
* You are connected to a **supported network** (Ethereum, Base, Taiko Alethia)

### 2. Navigate to Deposit

Once signed in:

2. Select the token you wish to deposit.
3. Enter the amount you want to deposit.
4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.

***

### 3. Supported Assets

Loopring DeFi currently supports deposits for:

* **ETH**
* **LRC**
* **WBTC**

💡 Asset availability may vary slightly depending on which network you are connected to. Always double-check before depositing.
{% endhint %}

### 4. Gas Fees

Depositing assets requires a network transaction:

* On **Ethereum**, gas fees may be higher.
* On **Base** and **Taiko Alethia**, gas fees are typically lower.

Please ensure that your wallet contains a small amount of ETH to cover any transaction fees.

### 5. After Depositing

Once your deposit is confirmed:

* Your balance will update inside the dApp.
* You can immediately start using Dual Investment, Portal, or Block Trade.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs-defi.loopring.io/getting-started/depositing-assets.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
